Coming Soon
Ever just wanted to look at any Ski Resort in world, fed up with having apps that only have few resorts or one continent and then you have to download massive files that cost you a fortune. Then welcome to Ski Maps.
“The worlds Ski Resorts in your hand”
Ski Maps contains the locations of 5,400 Ski Resorts, many of them with lifts and pistes/trails displayed. All this fits into single small download.
Ski Maps uses our own Resort Manager and OSM Databases that have been highly compressed to be designed to work on a mobile device. The world most advanced ski map renderer is used to display the entire 5,400 Ski Resorts on your mobile device in 3D.

Updates
We will provide updates regularly, users may update the OSM databases directly – this is something we would encourage as OSM is an open system available to everyone. Where incorrect or missing data is related to our Resort Manager database we will update this internally.
FAQ
Q. If my Ski Resort is not shown what should I do?
A. There is no complete database of Ski Resorts, because of this we can’t guarantee that every resort is fully mapped (although most of the larger resorts are). You can always email us and we will either add the resort in ourselves on OSM or if its Ski Resort information that is missing we will add this to our Resort Manager system.
Q. What is Resort Manager?
A. Here at Core Coders we have a database of all the major resorts in the world – in fact its officially the largest ski resort database in the world. Resort Manager database has been verified and is designed for live updates. OSM database can not do this easily.
Q. Looks like Open Piste Maps?
A. In fact the renderer is similar to OPM accept we have augmented data with our own Resort Manager system. However the big difference is that Open Piste Map was a Tile Server, Ski Maps uses a renderer – similar to the technology that Google and Apple Maps render roads and names. In fact our renderer actually works with Apple Maps road names to make the look very integrated. Our system also has the advantage of not requiring a tile service and we do not need to download tiles. In addition because we render the map we can show it in 3D. Also as we render data it is also possible for us to change the display live in the future, for example showing a closed lift or run – this would have been impossible for a tile service.
Q. How much will cost?
A. The price will be a yearly fee with a free month. If you do not choose to renew the app will operate normally but will not update the data and certain features will be turned off.
The actual fee is to be decided but it’s likely to be less than $4 (€3.99/£2.99) year.
Q. Is coming out on Android?
A. Yes it is but the release date is yet to be decided.
